how buggy is the current beta?

my server kicked my ass last week and i'm moving to a new one, so i have to reinstall yabbse again. but i thought, "what if i try smf?" i don't think the charter membership is too expensive and the new stuff is great. however i wonder, what sort of problems will i have with these betas? any SERIOUS problems, or does it work well? my spanish and english forums were quite demanding (20mb and 2mb, 10.000hits/day and 4.000hits/day respectively).

Well, if you cancel... I don't see that you'd get a full refund... not sure what the purpose of that would be.

The real focus of Charter Memberships is better support, not just prebetas.  And, to answer your question, there are plenty of people using it in production... BUT there are bugs.  That's life.

no no, not for a refund! just to not pay a SECOND year. in my case i would like the charter membership mainly just to have the forum before.

Well, of course you don't have to pay every year... you can stop your "subscription" at any time.

When my board had 60-70 users online, I was starting to see page gen times of about 1 second, with SMF with the same page gen times remain the same as with 10 users.

Obviously thats not very scientific since its a shared server, but with YSE it did slow down consistantly with lots of users.

Am currently taking around 40,000 page views a day with no problems on $10 a month shared hosting
