Hello everyone.

Two years ago, I installed Auto Tweet Embed mod to my forum. It worked perfectly for almoast two years. You just paste the link of a tweet, and see it perfectly, as you know.

But 2 months ago, suddenly it got broken. The worse thing is, it broke my SMF. When you paste and post a tweet link, you see "Invalid Tweet ID" error on the post. The worst thing, even when I uninstall/remove the mod/package, I still see the same error. This is insane. I can't get rid of it.

I'm trying to fix it for 2 months. I tried to get help from vbgamer45 in mod's thread. It changed nothing.

Please, somebody help me. Please.

Not a bug, and as a mod problem should be handled with the mod author.

If it was a mod problem, it would be fixed when I remove the mod. I think it's about SMF itself. Something got broken and no matter I do, it doesn't work.

I decide not to use the mod, alright. I uninstall it and I still see "Invalid Tweet ID" error when I post a tweet. How bout that?

this is not a default feature of SMF. so somehow the mod is still causing you issues so the mod author needs to help you or you need to upload clean files and reinstall your mods.

The instructions on how to do that are here: https://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/How_to_upload_a_fresh_set_of_files

(From my own experience, some mods don't play well with such reinstalls (because I am using PostgreSQL instead of the default MySQL), and it works better if you uninstall all mods before you do step 4 of that manual, and then reinstall them afterwards.)

Either you had something installed twice, or you had errors in the uninstall process that either went unnoticed by you or weren't obvious for some reason to begin with and so some code got left over. Still, this is not a bug in SMF, but a small limitation in the logic of the package manager.

I see, but unfortunately the package author does and say nothing about it. He claims that it's not the fault of the package.

So I just sit with a broken forum and do nothing.

Illori

as we said above you could use clean files that would resolve the issue. otherwise there is not much we can do to help you with this issue.

Mick.

Look, I'd think that mod edited the display.template.php, No biggie, use the package parser in the mod site and edit back the file or files that what was edited the first time.

I solved this problem with upgrading my forum to the clean version. Thank you guys.
