Logout Login issue

SMF 2.1RC2

When I logout and then log back in I get a white page with

"Mark read Settings
All alerts
No unread alerts."

at the top left corner and the rest of the page blank white.

Hmm, that's definitely weird. Nothing there that I would assume would affect the session.

Is it every single logout/login?

No but more often than not! And I'm not seeing any errors in admin and nothing in raw access either.

Yeah and after it does that I can go back to the domain name and I'm logged back in and everything's fine!

I just logged out then right back in again and got this error:

An error has occurred
Your session timed out while posting. Please go back and try again.

I wasn't posting!

I wouldn't get hung up on the 'while posting' part; this is a generic message where any of the session checks (to verify that it's not someone trying to spoof you) failing will get you that message because on posting was historically the most common way to trigger it.

What I think needs to happen is that calls to the AJAX handler probably need to make sure they have ;xml in the URL so they don't get caught up by the session cache... I'll take a look tomorrow as it's pretty late now.

Can you try turning off the portal/user info block?

ok I think it is the portal cause once I turned it off i quit having the problems. Thanks I'll let the author know!
