Banned Message

I am the member of a forum hosted by simple machines (wvtailgatecentral.com). The site is having major issues with users receiving the following message when visiting the site:

"Sorry Guest, you are banned from using this forum!
This ban is not set to expire."

I included a screenshot below.

I was originally instructed to clear history and cookies and that it would go away. But I have cleared everything on my phone and computer multiple times with NO success. I am only able to access the site with Internet Explorer. Interestingly enough, it blocks me on the same computer at the same time on Firefox and Chrome. Is there anything that can be done to eliminate this issue? When I asked the forum moderator, they said that they contacted "support" last year and got no assistance. You cannot view this attachment.

The site is not hosted by us. We do not host. We only produce the software.

So, unfortunately there's nothing we can really do. We have no contact with or control over any site other than our own.

But you would say it is for sure a host issue and not a software issue?

Seems as though it may be a mod blocking IP addresses. Doesn't look like cookies would be an issue since clearing them does not help.

It's not a host issue either, it's an administration issue.
Someone likely banned a large range of host domains or ips, probably attempting to ban spambots or similar.
