Admin login issue - That username does not exist.

Hi,

I have a strange issue where I changed my admin password, and now I am unable to login using my regular username (which is/was my admin display name).

When I login with my username I get "That username does not exist."  I have been using SMF for years and I have always been able to login using the username in the past.

If I login as "admin" I have no issues, and it shows that my original username is my display name.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Why don't you change your admin login username then?

I have no idea why or how it hot changed, but it's simple to change back

Thanks for the thought. I guess I was more concerned about it changing on me after all these years. I'll change it back and hopefully that will be that!

I can think of one way that could happen, and that would be your browser prefilling the form with wrong values without you noticing when you were making changes to the account. Basically the only way I can see this happening without you actually doing it yourself.
