Shades.

How can I safely remove the site slogan code:

        ', empty($settings['site_slogan']) ? '<img id="smflogo" src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/smflogo.svg" alt="Simple Machines Forum" title="Simple Machines Forum">' : '<div id="siteslogan">' . $settings['site_slogan'] . '</div>', '';
So I could put a banner there without breaking the header section?

Do I just remove that whole code and put my banner there or how? (Surely not that simple lol)

Basically I want to put an adsense banner there somehow. I have one there now but the site slogan is all bunched up to the left of it and looks horrible lol! ;)

Basically, yes. :D You already have the banner there, and it's working, so the only problem is the slogan.

Other option is to ignore the template coding (if PHP templates freak you out) and just do it with CSS:
#smflogo, #siteslogan {display: none;}

Perfect! Yes I like the css option better! ;D
