Upgrade from 1.1.6 to 2.1 No database selected

I have a SMF 1.1.6 forums that I would like to upgrade to 2.1 as my new webhost no longer supports PHP 5.4. I downloaded the large update package and followed the instructions to overlay the files.

When I attempt to run upgrade.php, I get an error message that simply says: "No database selected".

I've checked the settings.php and confirmed the database name, username and password are correct. What other solutions can I try to get this working?

After running the repair_Settings.php, discovered that I had a letter with incorrect caps in the database name.

Guess I just needed to publicly rubber duck myself!
