Hello, there!

Spirits of the Earth is a forum-based play-by-post RPG, where users create characters and roleplay them in our expansive fantasy world. I created this game back in December of 2000, so we've been going strong for almost 23  years now!

We started out on Geocities using EZboard, and over the years we've migrated to phpBB and, ultimately, SMF! SMF turned out to be the software that had the features and mods that suited our needs best, and we've been using SMF now since 2011!

So if you like writing, magic, imagination, art, and shenanigans, check us out! The current banner art was done by one of our members, Tally--one of our many talented members.

I'm not a fan of RPG's or narrow themes but I can certainly appreciate the work you've put into this and how well it looks. Nicely done!

Very nice colors!
I'd only suggest changing the ::selection background or text color a bit, the text is not super readable, perhaps keep the opacity on 1 or 0.9.

Nice forum...  just note that the header is not mobile friendly... and when zoomed out to see the header,  the forum content on mobile is really narrow

That just needs a max-width set on the header image. The catch is that the menu relies on areas mapped over the banner (ie: the visible menu text is part of the banner itself) so scaling down the header image also scales down the menu text. It's essentially not phone-friendly, but could be made that way if the members think it's important (they may not).

Anyway, quite a nice job overall.

ETA: Hey, I just realised something. This Showcase board, which presumably exists to promote how cool SMF can be, is not public. It's only visible to logged-in members. That means any random people browsing the web, looking for cool software, will not be aware of the existence of this board. This seems to me to be a very strange way to try to promote the software.

This is so underrated it should have a lot more people taking part. I want to take part but I'm swamped with time on hands.
