I have been waiting for some kind of release of this new smf but it seems to take long time, how long?

I hope it dont end up as another YaBB SE that never gonna be really finished software?

YaBB SE is not a finished software ? SE was finished with version 1 and recieved updates until 1.5.5 today. If that's your opinion, none of the actual software isn't finished because of the updates you get for these products.

Yes we have been awaiting a very long time for what we thought was gonna be YaBB SE II.  I still miss the YaBB SE name though.  But like they say, patience is a virture,  good things come to those who wait etc etc etc

Speaking of waiting... When Yabbse.org and simplemachines.org seemed to be down for a bit today, was I the only one to hope that the open Beta had been released and there were too many downloads to... Oh, it's just me? Uhm, never mind. What do you mean by "pathetic," anyway?!

I think so, too. To prevent people from using the first open beta in a production environment, maybe someone could instruct us (in the appropriate place) how to test it locally. That might keep us busy till then

You cant blame the team for not cranking out the public one too fast, cause its still gonna be beta, the team is still gonna say DO NOT INSTALL THIS LESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING...............but what is gonna happen when the public beta goes out everyone is gonna go ahead and do it and the support board will become a night mare.

I only have -pi on one site............my other sites I am waiting........I am not familar enough with coding such to do so..........Ive been tempted trust me but its ok, my working boards of YaBB SE are working just fine.  My Charter is more for support cause I actually paid 20 bucks to Lewis Media before I came charter to fix one of my boards.  So I got 70 bucks into this.
