It would be nice if an option were added that if checked that one the main page where all the forums are listed, there would be something that says "# users viewing" or something like that. eh?

i think there was a mod like that for YaBB SE.

Anguz

yes, something similar, not on boardindex that I remember, but inside each board or topic... I think it was an addition to Who's Online named User Browsing, written by Spaceman-Spiff... I may be wrong though, I didn't go make sure before writing this (^_^;)

This is already available... but for the life of me I can't think of an aesthetically pleasing place to put the information.

Yeah, I know... it's the worst reason not to have a feature.  "I can't figure out where to put it, but it's done." :P

maybe you should have a small competition ... we got enough graphic and layout masters to come up with something :P

[Unknown]

Actually, I really really want to do that.  For the best default theme for SMF ;).

Tyris

why dont we just have a whole set of competitions... get everything going ;) pump out like 5 default themes from the community... buttons sets... and an idea for where to place that feature ;)

Jeff Lewis

Unknow, can you post the code required to display that information if it's ready? Just need it for a little thing we're working on...

Umm... I thought the code was already in?? I have it enabled on a test board. Don't know how I did it saying that... maybe it's just commented out?!
I'm only a half geek really...

Well, it is in there but it's in like the ugliest place possible imho.  Look in theme settings.

is this the way this is supposed to look?

[Unknown]

No.  I think I know *roughly* how to fix it but I can't until I get home.

It appears on my forum in a pretty good place.  I am not using the "Tree View", hwoever, for the current location, so everything is in one line on the top of the page underneath the header.  The # Users Viewing is right justified and the current location is left justified.
