I want a custom logout link on my page (I already have it set up so users can log in using smf_api.php). I dont see anything in the api directly dealing with logging out. I checked the logout link from the forums, but if I link to that from the website, it takes you to the forums which I do not want.

Another thing I need to know is how to make the SESSID=a7dfas9a7f7ad6f89safd79asf6asdf stuff go away. It appears sometimes after a user logs in.

Using ssi.php (rather than smf_api) you can do:

ssi_login('http://<PATH TO REDIRECT AFTER LOGIN>')

and

ssi_logout('http://<PATH TO REDIRECT AFTER LOGOUT>')

everything thats done with smf_api can also be done with SSI.php, onley the function names are differnt and the coding is somwhat harder...
There is only one thing more importend to me then coding:
