New member Link Posting restriction [Request]

Hi

i have seen this feature on many boards that new members are restricted from posting any links or images until atleast they have a set amount of posts

And also the newbies cannot modify their signatures so they cant add links there either

Can we pleaseeeeeee have such a mod for SMF?

Its very important for boards I believe cos my board is growing pretty nicely has over 600 members now and suddenly im being swarmed by smaller board mods and admins coming joining up and posting their links and filling up their signatures with their banners and then to top it off they never ever come back! And it is very very tiring to go around removing their links!

So please can someone develop this mod?

That would be very helpful!  We are having a similar problem with porn links which is so terrible on a family friendly board with pre-teens on it.

this feature shold be standard with SMF in my view

its very annoying when a newbie comes around and strats splattering links to their homepage everywhere and then never comes back

its just shameless advertizement and the admin MUST be given the power to stop it!

I have seen other forum softwear that keeps you from posting links until you have a certain amount of posts. That would be the best fix for me.

well im thinking that in such a mod we would need to have a membergroup condition check

and a replace string

something like if memberid=X

then output "sorry you must have X posts before you can post links"

But my question is WHERE would this need to be placed? Post.template.php? index.template ? board.index?

anyone who knows can you give some gidelines?

akulion - Atleast to have a restriction for newbies for signature links (no signature links allowed) to set would be the least someone could set. Please help me with this, i really need this option in my forum
