is it posiible to make the forum look like Fasbb forum hxxp:skin21.fastbb.ru/ [nonactive]
I mean that there would be no categories.

Well you could make a custom theme that would remove categories from being visible and just create one general category and place the forums insdie.

the thing is that i need the topics to be on home page.

SMF has SSI which allows you to show recent topics on a home page or another page

I don't quite understand what you're looking for.  SMF (and most other forums) have categories, and you assign boards to those categories.  Why don't you want to use categories?

because there is only one category i need. U see the people who i make forum for like to chat in forum and they dont like search for topics under different categories, they just whant to see the topics sorted by 'last modified' and ! all others under them. I siply have to move the forum from hxxp:borda.ru [nonactive] (fastBB) to my own so they dont feel very uncomfortable using new one.  The only solution i found til now is something like vbgamer45 suggested - there is one category and under that all topics but there is still one unnecessery click they have to make that I would like to get rid of.
