I 'll try to explain better.
After the installation of the Spoiler Tag mod the bbc button for quote are removed and in the same position is the Spoiler Tag bbc button.
The problem is on the mod command in the Post.template.php file.
It says <replace> and not <add after>...
I hope you understand now....

Yea, I found it, upgrading it now to 0.2.6.1, including upgrade patch from 0.2.6 in the archive

Yes , I can see that button at my friend 's site , so that means not because IE

PS : I am using the SMF Default Theme  :'(

jeremyyeo

i know the button works. just that the spoiler feature doesnt work in IE for me. In IE, anything in spoiler wont be displayed, not even the spoiler-click-to-reveal button.

In opera, everything's fine and dandy.

I don't mean the Spoiler Tag doesn't work , I mean its button didn't appear right (Look at the pic I uploaded)  ;)

jeremyyeo

Yeah...i know that. for me, the function (of spoilling text) doesn't workk in IE.  :'(

I really don't know why it won't work in IE, perhaps IE can't handle javascript correctly.

jeremyyeo

Hrm...not too sure myself. are others having the same problems?

When I tried installing this mod I got this error message:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

But why is it giving me this crap? I need help with this mod!

Are you sure that you manage to extract the spoiler pictures to your image folder on ur SMF site ?

I have just added a norwegian language file. Download. But after applying the file, I got an error in the Subs.php file:
QuoteFatal error: Cannot redeclare get_spoiler() (previously declared in /home/virtual/site2/fst/var/www/html/scforum/Sources/Subs.php:915) in /home/virtual/site2/fst/var/www/html/scforum/Sources/Subs.php on line 971

What can this be? I get the installer to edit the right lines in the norwegian language files. As there anything more I need to with the Subs. php file?
Could check this out?

Birger :)

It seems the mod doesn't work with the current release of Firefox, or at least both I and a friend couldn't make the hidden text appear.... :(

hi

I just upgraded my test forum to RC3 and tried to upload this mod via package manager but got the following message:

An Error Has Occurred!
The package you tried to upload either is not a valid package or has become corrupted.

I see there are two versions for RC3 -

0.2.6 is patched for 1.1 RC3
0.2.6.1 is a minor patch for 0.2.6 that had the habit of removing the quote button, also now it's removing the spoiler image when uninstall.

I want 0.2.6.1 because I was having that problem with the missing quote button previously.

Can you help?

perplexed

sorry for posting again but can anyone help me install this latest spoiler package - 0.2.6.1 - as it won't install via package manager and I dont know any other way - it says its corrupt or not compatible with my smf version

(I'm on 1.1 rc3)

Check first that the file is signaling corectly that it's a gzippped tabrball (tar.gz).

yes it definitely says Spoiler-0.2.6.1.tar.gz

edited to add:  I tried unzipping it and resaving it as a zip file and tried uploading that to my test site and that seems to be ok.

Is that alright to do?
