This mod will allow you to move the Packages directory to somewhere other than $boarddir/Packages. The location can be changed in the Features and Options page.
Please note the Cleanup Permissions feature will not work for locations other than the default.

why to move Packages directory to somewhere other than $boarddir/Packages. ?
in which way  this would be usefull ?

personally I like to keep them where they are so I know which order I installed them.

easier to remove mods when needed that way

It would be useful if you wanted to move the Packages directory. If you don't, then don't install the mod, it's simple :)
This mod has no impact on the use of the package manager. It wouldn't make it easier or harder to remove mods.

Mod updated to 1.0.1. Now installs for SMF 1.1 and up.
