I did test it and my comment did transfer over to your forum.  You're site looks great.  Not really what I'm looking for though.

I'm just looking for something to bridge the two together sharing the user database.

Cheers - I believe you can do that. There *is* a plugin/bridge/widget or whatever you want to call it out there somewhere and I have used it in the past. However I came to the conclusion that the only people I want in Wordpress are my close friends so disabled the plugin.

Will havea  look.

Thanks by the way!

You could go the whole hog and create your site in Joomla which has SMF and Wordpress bridges (both work very well).

I wouldn't mind if it was a bridge for WordPress but it isn't.  It's basically a stripped down version of it.  I'm looking for the whole kit and kaboodle!  I didn't realize how much was missing until I started using the full version.

Does anybody knows is there's any way to integrate SMF with WordPress MU?

Hi, I'd like to integrate smf and wordpress like in the website of Wing. I'm interested on having the comments redirected on the board. can anyone help me?

I actually want to do the reverse. I'd like to offer a multi-user blog to my moderators, but SMF would remain the master site. Has anyone done somehing like this

I've updated DMRY's wordpress plugin bridge to smf.

It have fixed some of the more serious bugs, and added an admin panel from which to configure it (rather than moving settings files around).

If you're willing to try something new, it's here:
http://www.earthorbit.com/opensource/

And the original author's site is here:
http://www.dmry.net/wordpress-smf-bridge-plugin-10

While I cannot guarantee or take responsibility for the script, I think it is now at a point where it may be very usefull.  If you try it, please let me know how it goes.   I want it to work consistently for everyone before I begin to add new features.

sduford, yes, I am working on a wpmu+smf (a sitewide forum) right now.   I'm not done, but technically it works.  Just so you know, dmry's plugin Will work with wpmu to create a sitewide forum, but you have to install it in the regular plugins directory, not wp-plugins.  I'm still working on that compatibility (but first of all I want it to work 100% in the normal plugins directory)
