Heres the Deal.
On our site we got forums and a Main homepage.
The Main homepage is run by phpnuke 7.7 and the forums run by SMF 1.1 RC2

What Im wanting to do is when They sign up at our forums the register.php file will also connect to the phpnuke database and add the user in as well.
Now the question im faced with.

how do I get the user info passed to another database for the registration. I only care about the login name, password and email address. phpnuke uses simple md5.. But When a user changes his password or email on SMF i want it to update on the phpnuke site?
Would it Be easier to tell phpnuke how to log a user in using the encryption smf does? or force smf to use cookies and then have phpnuke use the cookies?

I already figured I could edit the Your_Account module for phpnuke and Redirect the Register page to SMF register page. And some Text add-ins to explain It.
How would I go about doing this?
Thanks for the Help,
