Snow Theme

Hey, what would you guys think if I made a snow theme?

I'd even make my own buttons and everything! (Look out!)

Hmm, I've gotten a start on it. Got the CSS done, and am now redoing all the images.

Looks... Its hard to see its snowing, maybe add a snow falling javascript, I know one, but the one i know of makes everythign slow.

A snow theme would be perfect! It is snowing here in WY today..... supposed to hit 80 next week... We'll see about that. We can have all 4 seasons in 10 minutes.

My forum still has the winter theme with "snow and ice" buttons and snowman smileys. I had not yet the time to make a spring theme. Slowly but steadily it is getting painful since we have beautiful spring weather here in Switzerland...

Check out this snowfall thingy:

http://students.washington.edu/griffh/webtools/snowflakes/ - to get the snowflake, right click on one and select "Save Picture As" (or the equivalent thing if you're not using IE) and save it to your computer. Then right click and do a "View Source" to get the javascript code.

So what's to start on? Just make everything (text, background, images) #ffffff and you'll have the perfect snow theme!

Actually I would think it would be VERY cool and very fitting for a snow script on a snow theme.

It's white, I mean that would mean the same as me changing every color to #ff0000 and calling my template Lava SMF

Don't be offended. Sometimes it's hard to be as excited as the maker. Maybe you'd better show it when it's finished. I don't think people are making fun of it, to me it looks also plain white, not really special. I'm only waiting for the final result, so just keep the spirit up and finish what you started.

I'm not making fun of it, I'm just saying in my own way that making it all white doesn't mean it's a snow template...

Even if you add new graphics, I would not call it a snow template if it still had nothing but white...

I just looked through this thread and deleted a couple of replies which you might have interpreted as offending.

My impression is that some replies are maybe a little blunt but am quite sure that people did not mean to offend you.

When I was 14 years young I did not even have a computer. I find it really great that you can do already forum themes!

Here an idea - case you feel really offended: as thread starter you are able to lock this thread - maybe lock it temporary until your theme is finished, then reopen it again.
