Some debugging info about the parameters I posted about earlier.

I lowered my memory_limit in php.ini back to the standard 8MB. And this is the outcome.

Both gives this error message in /var/log/httpd/error_log
"Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 138 bytes)
"

While using this link:

The latter link being the download link from the post where the files is originally attached.

If I increase the parameter to 15MB, my file also works from the mediacenter. So what am I doing wrong?

Some advancement here. I manually set the memory limit in the mediacenter php-script to be 20M. Now I can download files of all different sizes. BUT - previously I was able to drag the download-link into winamp directly and play it "like a stream". After this change, it's not possible anymor.

How does "downloading" and  "streaming in winamp" actually differ? If I have a "normal" link like http://foobah.com/mysong.mp3, I can play it directly in winamp, or download it.

The mod checks to see if you are allowed to download the file.  So it might not work in winamp.

Didn't it go wrong in your test-environment then?

edit: I would say that the site behaviour with for instance Mozilla is a far greater problem than your mediacenter though.

Just go to /forum/Themes/default/languages/modifications.english.php and delete all the text.  Just be sure you leave a ';'  before this '?>' at the end of the file.

This as a bug in SMF 1.1.1.  I suggest that you upgrade to 1.1.2.

It fetches the media from threds with uploaded files and displays them. You don't actually "add" anything directly into the mediacenter.

As the description says, "This mod will show forum attachments in a centralized location."

It is also said a few times in this thread.

I've looked through the entire thread but was unable to find a fix for thumbs not being displayed in Internet Explorer.

Is there a fix for it?

I added

'date' => 'm.posterTime',

on line 138 of MediaCenter.php. There is no button, but you can make a link to the mediacenter like this

http://forum.malmberg.fi/smf/index.php?action=mediacenter;sa=music;sort=date;desc

and it will order the music you have by the date it was uploaded (=thread started I guess).

I don't know exactly where to put a button, it doesn't really fit anywhere.

So did anyone figure out the attachment problem?  I keep getting an error when i try to upload big files (around 10mb).  I changed all of the settings in the smf administration panel to increase the web space.  But I keep getting a  timeout error when i try to upload an attachment?  How do you add big files tot he media center?
