Forum stats in IRC?

This might just be out of the blue, but it would be cool to paste the forum stats, like key stats and sorta like the latest topic in an IRC channel.

IE:
!forumstats
[Forum name] has [posts] posts in [topics] topics by [mems] members.

!latesttopic
Latest topic on [Forum name] is: [topic] - [topic link]

You'd have to make a bot in an irc channel to watch for those commands, when a command is sent it checks such n' such board.  Wouldn't be hard to do, but it certainly wouldn't be php.

Actually you can use php with eggdrop but you need make tcl-wrapper whick runs php and takes output...

You still need access to more of the server then most people can do however...
