You need to convert the database through your admin panel.

I tried the following code as advised

Code:

UPDATE smf_members
SET lngfile = CONCAT(lngfile, '-utf8')
WHERE lngfile != ''

and got an error msg

#1146 - Table 'sarazi_UAnjuman.smf_members' doesn't exist

what to do??????

dem..!..rep

Somehow, probably an error on my part, my forum is set to english-utf8. What a mistake. Addition of mods and themes generally need some work to function correctly with this setting.

I have heard that going back to just english could cause problems. I've tried it on a test site and haven't seen any problems.

My question is - Does anyone know of any issues this may cause down the road if I go from language 'english-utf8' to 'english'?
