Fantastic... it works.

I even added  <span style="color: red;"> </span> to the Modifications.english.php so the warning text to the guest shows up in red.  I know a little bit by looking at other things.  I gotta sit down some day and really play with this.

I will be putting this on my production board soon... a bit THANKS to you for the help.

No problems.

I'd generally recommend not adding style to the language strings, but putting it in Subs.php but that can get a bit awkward.

Well I noticed that SMF Trader System was using those language strings in the Modifications.english.php file so I figured that would be ok.

Ok I have one more idea for this mod, dunno how much trouble it is but ... can text be shown in the post to members on the post that says something to the effect of "This is a Members Only post - Guests can not view it" so that the poster and members know thats only available for viewing by members only?

Your mod is MUCH more simple than the "Hide Post - Hide post with conditions" mod and it suits my needs.  Hide Post is a good mod but its kinda complex for what I need.

Again thanks :D

Well, the main version of this mod did actually get approved, so now I guess I need to do something with it.

The screenshots make it clear what it does, but I need to figure out how to handle it (then again, admins can actually disable [guest] anyway since it is a regular BBcode)

Cool.  Yeah I guess that the guest button can be disabled in the Admin area.  Any thoughts on adding the text messages to the blocked users?  Guess you can add revisions to ver 1.1 lol.

Sure I can, I can add whatever revisions I want.

Hmmm. Needs more thought, since there all kinds of ways this can go, such as admin-customisable messages.

DesertRatt

I like that Idea.  Some of the brave non-coders that kinda know their way around can change the text :P but its easier if its in the admin panel.

I gotta learn this myself someday.  I may have some business to discuss with you about some custom mods that I want to do for my forum.

I even already have template code I can probably throw at it without too much work, so in the next few days I'll see about adding that in, along with making sure that supports BBcode.

where can see this mod in admin panel?

There's nothing added to the admin panel as yet, on either this cut down version or the main version.
