I have this issue while I am testing my integrated site locally.
I have included the SSI.php file and I have inclueded the ssi_welcome(), the  ssi_login() and the ssi_logOnline() function in my non-SMF home page.

When I log in and then I navigate back to the home page (I also reload the homepage to make sure there are no cache issues) I see that me (my account) is online in the output of the ssi_logOnline() function but the ssi_login() is still there (the log in form is still there) and the ssi_welcome() still outputs "welcome guest" (even though a few lines below that my account's username is listed among the users online). I have tried to echo the value of $context['user']['is_logged'] and it seems that I am simply not online :-(

Does anybody have an idea of what I could be doing wrong?
Thanks

any other ideas? what could be causing this strange behaviour?

I am still trouble-shooting but it seems like this only happens when tested locally, while it appears to be working (still testing) remotely

Oh my oh my... I have exactly the same problem but in my case it worked for months and at once it stopped doing so (trouble started after a migration of my hosts server).
