Im not sure who to talk to or what to do so Im just going to post this here in hopes that someone can explain to me whats going on. I was unsure where to put mods so I guessed that I upload them through the links on the left that supposibly link to the correct area. Now, to me a mod is anything that modifies the layout, scripts, colors, ect. When I started uploading mods I was getting responces saying that they didnt belong there or it was strongly suggested that I turn them into packages. I never made, nor needed to make packages for the other forum system I used. I simply didn't know how to and when I looked into it, my modifications seem too simple to go into writting packages for them. Its just unessesary work. I later realised that people are posting mods and such in the forums themselves. I could be wrong but thats what it looks like. I then started uploading mods/enhancements and then posting about it in the community forum. I was then informed that I was doube posting which I didn't realize. Now I went back to make some changes to my posts so that I might rectify the situation and now some of them are locked! I need to change them because the link I left says to go to a board that previews the mods but ive since changed the board. Now people are going to get an incorrect preview. Anyone know how I can get this all straightened out? I am still confused as to how this forum works when it comes to offering and getting mods. By the way, my avatar has dissapeared also. I haven't checked that yet to see why.

Confused,

On the contrary everyone appreciates contributions no matter how small it is.
You see the Mods section while not fully completed yet was done so that it will make it easy for SMF users to download mods with ease and install them through the Package Manager in the Administration Center.
For this to work right SMF provided Package SDK to help creating Mods even Avatar ones.

Regarding the double post issue it was in no means directed to you or any other users who double post .. it is just a procedure to not allow this to make things look cleaner and easier to be found.

If you want you can post the links to your posts and I'll happily correct them for you and by the way your avatar is still here safe and sound :)
Really sorry .. real life is demanding my full attention .. will be back soon hopefully :)
