Problem with scrolling

...a couple of my members are reporting problems with the text not scrolling within the message reply box as they type their posts: they report that once they fill up the text box, they can continue typing, but they can no longer see what they are doing. One reports this as an intermittent problem that seems to occur most often when they use the 'quote' tool.

They both use a PC with explorer and XP, I however use a mac and have encountered no such problems.

The simple machines version is 1.1.9

Has this been an issue for anyone else, and if so, what is the fix. Since I cannot verify it happening on my mac, I also cannot verify whether one or both of these people may have a software/virus/system problem they are unaware of, although I have questioned them on this and they insist that this is a singular occurrence within my forum

I am Able to reproduce it using IE 8 and Win XP.  I can reproduce it on my site listed above and right here on this site too.  If you hit the quote button and then hit return until you get to the very end of the post window, start typing and the scroll arrow starts bouncing around, up and down while you type.  So does the text itself.  I have searched the site, can't find any other references to this problem besides this thread, please let me know if this is a known issue or bug.  Thanks for the help.

This is a bug in IE8.

We have a bug report for 2.0 on this with regards to whether we do a temporary fix until ms patches it.
