You'd have the same problem positioning images in anything directly SMF based because there's no facility for positioning images in its bbcode.

I think there was a tip/trick on doing it, and I also think it wouldn't be too hard to write a mod to permit it.

EDIT: Considering you're making a CMS mod yourself, and you're offering help, why not join the projects? I'll learn along the way

I'll give you any help that you require if you need any but my CMS is a long way from finished considering that I can only spend about 30 minutes a day scripting it (plus I've only spent the last week intending it be built into SMF rather than a seperate entity using SSI.php)
