That would depend on the manual install being done correctly.  :)

Well, as stated before, the mod worked perfectly for some time and I was very happy with the results, so the install was all correct.

Not to worry now, I took the plunge and updated to RC3 so this mod has been replaced. Thanks for your help though cancasa :)

No problem, sorry it didn't work out.

Hope the RSS Feeder mod works ok for you.  :)

Just a side note: I raised this with my host and questioned whether there was a problem with cron jobs not running. I was told the cron daemon may have stopped at some point. Apparently cPanel no longer has a built in script for chkservd that makes sure crond is always running. The host had implemented a custom chkservd script, but it hasn't been pushed out to all of the servers as yet.

So now we know :D

ok. I run cronrss.php (chmod 755) from chrome and I get this,
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /home/haccom/public_html/garfieldp.com/Sources/Subs-RSS.php on line 362

What is up with that? does this mean I dont have fsock?

GarfieldP

ok, nvm! It works... but because I use feedburner with ads, the ads show up as text and the feed is a link to the feed
