GBP sign shows as ?

Wondered why a ? appeared in front of numbers here, turned out that lately (don't know when this started) the pound (GBP sign) is turned into ? when in a post.

Happens to post from all over the world. 'Alt Gr 3' on my keyboard, shows ok when making the post, but ? after posted. $ works.

Testing on smf: £ £ £, shows correct here.

Convert to UTF-8.

Thanks for the confirmation, expected that was the solution. UTF-8 applied and all looks good.
