Joomla Registration but Bridge Lost Password

Hi,

I did an extensive search on the matter and was not able to find the information pertinent to my question.

I'm using Joomla registration but the LOGIN module while displaying registration link for com_registration also displays password recovery link through com_smf_registration.

Is i supposed to be like that?

Yes.  Because the Joomla registration has no way to insert a new hashed password into SMF, the bridge "Forgot Password" is required to do that.
