Has the syntax changed ? Because even after i installed the new one, the old posts which had youtube links in it, don´t work. I only see the syntax there. I also dont have the Youtube button anymore in the editor when I write a new post, it was there before. Now its gone.

Anything else works, and I installed my new board just, but it doesn´t work. LInks that worked before fine. So, what now ?

No problem.

There was just a error in the package info that stopped the image from appearing.

It was

<require-file name="youtube_bbc.gif" loc......"Themes/images/bbc/">

it should have been

<require-file name="youtube_bbc.gif" loc......"$imagesdir/bbc">

Was rejected , probably because it was another persons mod that i updated.

HI can someone plzzz help me??? I upgraded to 1.0.8 tday from 1.0.5 yeahhh!!! great huh? but I reallllly wanted to add that new mod that allows you to do the youtube thingy.. but when I added it through my package manager in admin it seems to have loaded (oh and also added streaming vid package) but it's not working? I still can add youtube directly into posts and nothing looks dif? I know I'm not using default theme either.. is that why? I'm so totally lost plz someone come to my rescue i'm frustrated and need help!!!! lol ..

btw i know 'bout the whole manual thing but i don't bloody get it?? lol i opened the .mod file but what do i change? and i added the files all ready so if i change it do i have to delete and re-add them again? sry i'm a noob

plzzz can someone plz tell me how to put this mod on my 1.0.8 forum? I'm new at it.. and I'm not using the default theme ... what do i do? I added the package thru admin..seemed to load in ok ..no errors..don't think? I've only been working in forums and php junk for the past six months so I'm really useless at it yet.. plz guys if someone can just lay out what I'm meant to do? Like do I edit the .mod file and the .php file? or just one? then wat?

open .mod file with notepad, the steps are simply to execute mannualy Jennah

This mod adds no functionality to SMF: there is no need to install it to embed YouTube.
Just use turn on the flash function for SMF.
The YouTube vids are flash movies. So take the code, strip away everything other than the url, and embed as flash. I've done this to dozens of YouTube movies for my site.

I don´t agree...

1.security reason - This MOD dont have the security issue of a swf movie posted maybe with some javascript inside it...

2.easy, easy posting - I think posting a video from youtube which hardly will be offline it´s amazing, a lot of people contribute with joking, beraking news etc... Flash only will be more specific stuff and could get a lot of broken and useless sources in topics in a short time...
