Please update this mod for 1.1 final. Thanks

1milehi

okay.  i've added all the coding from the "how to make mods work with themes" instructions but i'm still getting only the large white box, (no video or audio), and the you tube icon only shows in the default theme.  i added the youtube gif to my theme's images file but what code do i add to link to it and what file does that info go in?  any other suggestions i should try?  i'm using 1.1 rc2.

thank you.

Alright guys I modified the code from the download area here so it'll install on SMF 1.1 Final version.

I HAVE ONLY TESTED THIS ON 1.1 FINAL!! No other version may work!!

Enjoy.. ;D

P.S. I didn't write this mod... I only modified it for 1.1 final so some of you could use it.

Sorry bro... I only modded it for 1.1 final... The original MOD should work with RC2 though. It sounds like you have a conflict with another MOD going on...

Or not... I am running 1.1.1 and this is what I get:

"Installations actions for "YouTube BBCode by Yakuza":
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF."

Where do you get your failure ?? What file ?

If it is only modifications.english.php the only thing you will be missing is the alt text for the image in the bbc code area. Not a big deal.

If you like I can try to mod the file for you so it'll be done but honestly if you load the images to all your themes I don't think it'll hurt not being there.

that's the only error i get when i try to uninstall.  i'm getting the alt text, but the image is only showing up in the default theme.  i can live without that but it would be nice to get it to show with the board theme i'm using.

the main problem now is that we only see the big white box when we use the you tube feature.  i know that was brought up earlier in this thread but i don't know what needs to be done to fix it.  help?!  :'(

thanks~

You just need to upload the image (youtube bbc button) to your current themes images directory with the other bbc buttons. Then the button should show just fine.

Well it could be a few things... The best thing to do would be to go into the modify section of one of the non-working you tube posts with the white box in it and copy the code that is in there and post it up here so I can see what is actually being rendered by the tag. It is probably something simple as this mod is very basic.

thanks gargoyle.  i've uploaded the image but it's not showing through.  how or where do i check the source coding which is linking to the image?  (i know in HTML it would be the <img src> code but i don't know what it would be in SMF coding)

here is the code:

Quote[youtube=425,350]<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nae4OV2lJ1M"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nae4OV2lJ1M" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>[/youtube]

Alright the BBC code is not passing correctly at all...

I will need to see your subs.php file as well as your post.template.php file from the theme you are using. I have to see if the code is there and if it is whether or not it is done right.

What did you say happened again ?? Upgrade or something like that to cause this issue ? Just trying to figure things out in my head.

The image should be placed in your current theme directory.. So it would be yourthemename/images/bbc/youtube.gif If that is where the image is then you could try a refreash. If that still does not do it then I will have to look at your files to see the code.

I've got a white box too on my SMF 1.1.1 final forum using the last .03 post a couple of posts back.  Icon is there no installation errors and nothing in my error log.   ???

i've had the large white box from the beginning.  what i tried to do was uninstall the mod because i wanted to install the .3 version but i received an [un] installation error that i was not getting when i first installed.  i'm not going to uninstall now so i don't know if that error makes a difference or not.  after i installed the you tube mod, i deleted some other mods that i really didn't need so is that what is causing the error?

here is the post.template file:

Quote);
      $context['bbc_tags'][] = array(
         'flash' => array('code' => 'flash', 'before' => 'http://',%20'after'%20=>%20'', 'description' => $txt[433]),

         'youtube' => array('code' => 'youtube', 'before' => '[youtube=425,350]', 'after' => '[/youtube]', 'description' => $txt['youtube']),
         'stream' => array('code' => 'stream', 'before' => '[stream=200,200]', 'after' => '[/stream]', 'description' => $txt['stream']),
         'real' => array('code' => 'real', 'before' => '[real=200,200]', 'after' => '[/real]', 'description' => $txt['real']),
         'quick' => array('code' => 'quick', 'before' => '[quick=200,200]', 'after' => '[/quick]', 'description' => $txt['quick']),
         'img' => array('code' => 'img', 'before' => '', 'description' => $txt[435]),
         'url' => array('code' => 'url', 'before' => '', 'after' => '', 'description' => $txt[257]),

and from the subs.php:

Quote),
         array(
            'tag' => 'hr',
            'type' => 'closed',
            'content' => '<hr style="clear: both;" />',
            'block_level' => true,
         ),

         array(
            'tag' => 'youtube',
            'type' => 'unparsed_commas_content',
            'test' => '\d+,\d+\]',
            'content' => '<object width="$2" height="$3"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/$1" ></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/$1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="$2" height="$3"></embed></object>',
            'validate' => create_function('&$tag, &$data, $disabled', '
               if (isset($disabled[\'url\']))
                  $tag[\'content\'] = \'$1\';'),
            'disabled_content' => '<a href="$1" target="_blank">$1</a>',
         ),

RoarinRow

just from looking at the subs.php code below, shouldn't the param name and embed src be something like this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v/$1

instead of this:

http://www.youtube.com/v/$1

I was just watching this video from youtube.com right now - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9-ctuBFAUg
