I would use external images instead uploading images to my server

but you could do it in an easy way:
example: http://epica-forum.de/index.php?action=gallery;cat=9

have a look to the 2nd pic - it is just that size: 1.66kb and the only pic you've to upload like you upload a normal (big) picture - means: that is the only pic which u have to save on your webserver.
means: you only need that little preview pic which has a max. height of 78px.

click now  on the 2nd pic - this opens that link: http://epica-forum.de/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;pic=33

Now you see 7 pic which are fine adjusted/slidable.
the "trick": put the external pic links (postimage.org, imageshack, etc) in the description area

and upload just the little preview pic - saves a lot of space...

the only pic I've uploaded to the webserver is that size: 2,86kb - but that gallery has 16 pics inside

i need to use an external image (maybe i uploaded on my gmail or so) with the help of BBC code??

after installing the mod, will it form a kinda category, because i wouldn't want anything to interrupt my index, how exactly will it look like? do you have any DEMO site

No it does not affect the forums but instead adds it's own tab in the menu.

thanks but i will like to edit the "gallery" on my menu to something i like ( i like customizing my menu :p )
where will i locate the file and the name inside cpanel

If you just want to change text you can find in themes/default/languages/modifications.english.php
