There is a converter available, but I don't think it works very well at the moment. Juan (aka Jay) was working on that, so he might have more info for you.

A bunch of folks, myself included need this convertor.

What is frustrating is I thought SMF was an offshoot of YABB via YabbSE....

That said I think YABB is one of the bigger forums out there, exceptionally well supported.

It's a shame we cannot seem to get a working convertor.

I stopped holding my breath for one a few weeks back.....

I believe they are trying to finally fix the convertor....

Keep your fingers crossed.

I hope I do not have to just link to the old board, that would be pretty bad. I have 1000+ users and would hate to have to do that.....

Could you please tell me if you have a converter from yabb 2.1 to smf 1.0.8 or how long it will be before you make one. If you have a converter already where can I down load it from. Many Thanks Mossy

Converting FROM Yabb to SMF.....

There isn't a YaBB2 converter for SMF 1.0.8. There is one for 1.1 RC3, but the one currently on the downloads page has some bugs in it. I think Jay is getting closer to fixing these bugs, though.

I have a board converted from Yabb2....

So far everything is 100% functional, with the exception of the PM's, which is minor.......The users are ported over as well as the messages....AMAZING!

Kudos to the Dev team for working on this convertor.

And a BIG THANK YOU to ALAN_S

Alan_S was good enough to stick with this conversion even when things went rough. This is a top notch member and I am exceptionally impressed with his professionalism and dedication. I cannot give a better recommendation......
