OK, I was able to fix everything, and for that I thank you all very much.

I do have one question about backing up.. I will be doing my back ups once a month unless I add a mod of course, when I do THAT back up, to I just back up the databases once a month? or is there something else I need to back up also?

phpmyadmin backs up the DATABASE.
The database is the specifics of your site: your users, posts, settings, etc.

the data in the database is displayed by use of the FILES. These are the *.php files, and they are not backed up or affected by the stuff that you do in the database. To back up the files, you just take a copy of them using your ftp program.

How may i get this mod working on smf v.1.1.4 ? what's the line i have to edit ? i'm using a costum theme, there's no default.

Cumps nice mod  ;)

LinkinParkBoy

Well, i've installed the mod, translated it to portuguese and worked without a problem, no bugs... but i've been trying to limit the signatures to 20x20, but if i select a signature superior to that it's not applying the rule why?  :(

TrueSatan

Please first switch to the SMF default theme and English language then try it again...if it works then there must be an issue with either your translation of edits to your custom theme.

LinkinParkBoy

Yes, i tried in english and default but it doesn't work too :\

TrueSatan

Please see reply #158 on this topic...if yours is a problem with oversize externally hosted images it is a known issue...the size limitation only works with images hosted on your forum.

Mr-Stealth

How do i Manually delete this mod? as i cannot access my frigging admin panel after installation

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare template_edit_signature_settings() (previously declared in /home/stealth/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php(1735) : eval()'d code:1123) in /home/stealth/public_html/forum/Sources/Load.php(1735) : eval()'d code on line 1324

Aileen

Maximum image count
(0 for no max - excludes smileys) would this mean the number of post or the number of images?

thanks

Is there any mod that limits the size for  images hosted outside the forum?
Is it possible to create one?

you installed the mod twice. You can manually fix this the same way you would manually install/uninstall.  Go to all the files modified by the mod and change them back.

I don't know of one and given that other resizing is done via use of GD and that will only work with images hosted on the same server as it is on that would not be able to do the task.

netridge

Is there a way to disallow images in signatures with this mod... by the way I love mod.

TrueSatan

No...but there is another mod that does what you require.

They should combine several mods to just one for signatures, removal of images, allow signatures to only show once, etc....

Sadil

I am having some issues with this mod in terms of the signature images.

I set the feature to allow only 3 images in a signature at the same time. However, when I save my signature with 4 images, it doesn't do anything - it just allows those 4 images to stay.

When I set the feature to allow only size 500x200 pixels and save an image that is of a bigger size than that, it just saves the signature without resizing.

The thing is, the settings are applied when I click this link:

QuoteNote that settings are not applied to existing signatures by default. Click here to apply rules to all existing signatures.

When I have more than 3 images in my signature, it will remove -all- images from the signature. And oversized images will be properly resized.

I am using SMF 1.1.4 on a custom theme with these mods:

1.     vReportBoard Mod      1.03       [ Uninstall ]  [ List Files ]  [ Delete ]
2.    YouTube BBCode    1.9    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
3.    SMF Arcade    2.0.11    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
4.    Invite    1.14    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
5.    delete inactive users    1.0.3    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
6.    Custom Profile Field Mod    3.17    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
7.    Membergroup Color Legend    1.1    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]
8.    Signature Settings Mod    1.1    [ Uninstall ] [ List Files ] [ Delete ]

Any help would be appreciated, thank you. :)

@ Sadil

The mod is doing as it should from what you say...your signature is an existing one although you are altering it so the mod will only affect it when you tell it to apply the rules you have set to existing signatures. You should, in any case, test it in the SMF default theme to see if any remaining issues you may have are present there.
