!!!My forums is really slow!!!

My forums is really slow. Can anyone help? i use SMF 1.1 RC2.
My forums is photography forums and i allow each attached file = 100KB. Initially, when i install and use it is good and fast but i dont' know why right now it is so slow even a few user.
Note:it is fast if i open the page that contain only message. but it is so slow if i open the page that contain a lot picture.

I search and read a lot of case but can not solve my problem.
Rightnow, what i have done are
- Disable host look up fn
- Reduce number of post / page.
but still not work. Is there anyway else to make this faster?

i'm not too sure php version.

Sometime i got below msg to my email but board is still working. i don't know why.


There has been a problem with the database!

The server seems to be generating the pages quite fast.

I believe you have a slow internet connection(you or your server)
