Thanks for testing my mod. This mod will allow you to limit the posts per day, per user. Just login as admin, find the member in question. Select the user, select account related settings, below their post count you will see an area to enter the max posts per day. This is still a beta release, ALWAYS make backups first before installing this mod. Thanks -Snork13

Thank you I've been waiting for this kind of mod!
Though, I cannot install it:

It is strongly recommended that you do not continue with installation unless you know what you are doing, and have made a backup very recently. This error may be caused by a conflict between the package you're trying to install and another package you have already installed, an error in the package, a package which requires another package that you don't have installed yet, or a package designed for another version of SMF.

I am not able to reproduce the error on a fresh install.

Maybe I should add that I am usin TinyPortal as well in my forum. Could that be that I can not install this mod? Although I have installed in the past plenty of other mods without any problem at all

No, it shouldn't make a difference. I just wish I could reproduce the error :-\

Did not test it, but great option, maybe you can make a reverse one as well, a minimum post a week for example.

As I am very interested I'd like to help. What can I do?
Also I have a couple of ideas that could make this mod a real killer - set limit based on the group for example.

opps, didn't mean to edit your post. I meant to reply.

I actually headed down the group path, but went the way of user. If you pm me your domain url, user account(test admin) and possibly I will need ftp/mysql. Pm me if interested.

I'd like to define it for membergroups as well. would make the mod a lot more useful for me.

For those who have errors during install, follow this advise:
QuoteCreate a directory named temp inside your package directory. Make sure that both the packages dir and the temp dir are chmod 777. Then try to install the mod.

Members still can post from Quick Reply even if I set a limit

What does it mean when a mod i still in beta stage?

It means I'm testing features, or in this case missing a feature. ;D When I update the mod to the next version you will just need to uninstall the old version first. Then install the new version.

A suggestion, and good practice is to make backups regularly. Your host may offer a one click solution through something like cpanel. I as well do regular dumps of my database, and I often ftp and download the file at the same time. I then make a zip of the content, and burn to disc.
