Migrating from Windows XP to Linux

I'm not sure where to put this, so I'll start here.

Anyway, I am currently running a Windows XP based server with Apache 1.2, PHP 4.3, and Mysql 3.x on it.  I want to move the server over to a Linux installation with Email, FTP and apache, php, and mysql.

Are there any things that I should be aware of?  Which version(s) of Linux and server modules should I install?  Is there any tutorial that I can review before hand?  I'll also need the gd library and the pspell library for SMF.

While I can't be of that much help installing with Linux, I can tell you that you won't have much problems moving the data over or getting SMF to work as well (or better)...
