Hi Everyone. I'm new here. I have run Snitz (Numerous versions) on Access dB, and PhpBB with MySql and Apache up to the current version)

As on those packages when you install the software the copyrights and disclaimer must remain. Is this the case here and where can I find that text (About keeping the footer in tact-whatever)..

Thank You. The Package Looks great. You guys have done nice work look forward to checking it out more to install soon.

As with all other forum software the copyright *must* remain. It's very simple, when you edit index.template.php don't remove smf_copyright() and you are fine. You can change everything other than the copyright. That said, if you really need to have it removed, contact Lewis Media and ask them, it can be removed at a charge, but generally we prefer it to stay as that is what helps spread the word.
I'm only a half geek really...

I'd like to edit the copyright to make it one line, where would I find the actual text to do this?

Hi, I'd like to add a line to the copyright box.

I DO NOT want to remove/edit the main copyright message.
I just want to add my name to the top or bottom of it.

What sort of editing do I have to do in index.template.php to accomplish this? (find-add etc.)

I chose SMF because you get your questions answered.

Just look for:

', theme_copyright(), '

Add your line below it.
