please can someone tell me how to set date and time :)

metallica48423

it pulls the time information from the server.

admin => server settings => Overall time offset.
This setting allows you to configure the board time.

profile => look and layout preferences => Time offset.
This is the difference between the board time and each individual users' time

Please can someone help me with this

metallica48423

It appears you are using smfforfree.com.

You cannot change this setting from the server's default due to this as they use a modified 'free hosted' version of SMF.  You can only change the option in your own profile as listed above.

can j now download a free version of 1.1.2. and then transfer my forum

metallica48423

look at the download link at the top of every page ;)

you will need to find a host to put your forum on though (this is what smfforfree provides is hosting of a modified SMF install)

check out the Hosts and Hosting board.  There are free and paid hosts out there.
