Programatically creating post ?

Hi.. Great software.

On my site I have simple CMS I have developed, and each news item has a 'discuss this story' link.
When this is clicked I will link to a SMF topic that will allow the user to discuss it on the forums.

What I would like to be able to do is to programatically (through PHP) create a post in the SM Forums when I submit a story through my CMS.

Does anybody have any experience of this ?

Doh....I Should have read the forums more thoroughly first....
