thanks

- Rename the forum SMF (where General, Feature Request... Forum are) to SMF Support.
I think this is better

- There should also be a forum "Converters and Importers" in the SMF development forum. There is already a converter forum, but in the forum SMF Support and not SMF development

Agreed and changed.

Since the intention is to provide a handful of converters when we release, we want to keep this under the support area. We're hoping to not need to have people request converters because we'll already have them :)

I see. How many converters are planned to be released with thte final version of smf?

Jeff Lewis

I can't really say until we get closer to a launch but there are currently 9 in the CVS (not all are functioning 100% but they are there or started).

BTW

Is it possible to reopen a new special forum

BUG Reports

in SMF Forum?
I think this would be much clearer  ;)

Jeff Lewis

We have a bug tracker that we're hoping to take full advantage of once things get rolling.

I still find a separate bug forum has it's own advantages.

More people can help to solve the bug.
So the SMF programmers are not alone ;-)

Jeff Lewis

The big disadvantage though is what turns me off - the fact that all kinds of crap can get posted and it gets disorganized.

However, I'm sure there will be something down the road to work with both of these :)

AFAIK there was a completed MOD for the YabbSE.

If a bug has been fixed, you as MOD's could mark this thread as completed. So the bug forum will stay clear.

I think discussing Bugs in a forum reaches more people than discussing it in sourceforge. If the people has no bug forum, they will abuse the General&Feedback forum for it. Then it will be very unclear.

Jeff Lewis

We'll cross that bridge when we come to it...we're still focusing on getting our software completed :) Suggestion is however logged ;)
