MAMBO: anything like the SSI.php page?

Hello, I was wondering if Mambo offers any way (like the SSI.php file in SMF) to add its content to non-Mambo pages. If not, has any Mambo user worked out a hack or something? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hmmm...

The point of Mambo (and any CMS/Portal) is to be the front-end... Everything should be running as a sub-menu or iframe in Mambo. So there is no real reason to drag Mambo content into other screens, is there?

That being said, I know Mambo has RSS feed capability...

And I think you need to ask this question on a Mambo development board. :)

I realize that you are righht about the concept of a front-end CMS/Portal system like Mambo.
But I have pages that have their own scripts and if in those pages I want to have the same left and right menus that I have in the Mambo pages I must find a way to pull them in... I doubt I could run a complex php script from within a Mambo page, could I? I have read somewhere about wrappers but still haven't found them in the Mambo admin... I'll keep looking but I am a little skeptical that a complex script would work from within Mambo, in fact the people who developed the SMF/MOS bridge did specifically instruct not to use a wrapper for the SMF forum because it wouldn't work. You see where I am coming from?

I'll keep looking an will post on mambers.com (thanks for the link, I thought the forum.mamboserver.com where the only forums for Mambo and since there's not too many people over there I came here to you/us)

Oh SMF works fine in the wrapper....   what does not work is the integrated login.

I use the wrapper for Coppermine and my php Chat (x7Chat)

To install a wrapper around a link, go to admin, in the menu dropdown, choose your menu and add a new item, choose wrapper....

Orstio said it won't work in a wrapper... Which is your website? Can I take a look? Can you also give me the link to your chat so I can see it and decide whetehr to use it or not?

Well, despite what Orstio said, SMF does owrk in a wrapper, but the integrated login does not work in this case. Assuming you don't have the integrated login, and you want to have separate user/password combos, you can use SMF in a wrapper from Mambo.
(that's what I was going to do, until I found Orstio's bridge)
