Updated both posts and the zip files (3/14/05). Trying to decide what to do about the new feature that makes thumbnails out of larger images when you attach them. I will probably end up attaching everything so that everything gets re-sized (making it easier on dialup users). I can either leave them the way they currently are (ie when you click on an image (for those that are attached), you get asked whether you want to download it or view it) or I can change the layout and put "preview" and "download" links next to each image... Anybody prefer one method or the other?

Ya, really, those banners and stuff are awsome. All I wanna know is, where can I get some good pips, or if I got my own, how can I put it on the SMF forums, and accually make them work? Cause everytime I put some on, its a liottlw white box, with a red X going threw it,,.. Any help?

Check the permissions on the image, they should be set to 777 (or if 777 is not possible, at least 755)

What is the idea of these banners?

Do you have to put banner when you instead often want remove author names downside screen? I dont really get it, why to present free advertise, or do they reward or pay you on simplemachine for it? Maybe a stupid question but i do not get idea here

People wanted banners.  People posted banners.  That is the only point.

You cannot remove the copyright statement.

Hey there people.
Just came accross this forum software, and its amazing, Far better than any other forum software i have found so far, and it looks like styleing is alot easyer.
Anyway, I thought illd add my contributations to this thread.
Considering its called Simple machines, why not go for some simple designs.
