Removing empty lines from the end of a post.

First off, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question so forgive me if it should be in another section.

Is there a way to remove any excess empty lines from a post before it gets posted?

Sometimes a member may unknowingly, while editing their post, add in additional empty lines to the end which leaves the post full of blank space at the end of it.

As usual, any help with this would be appreciated.
