Hello,

I am looking to convert my personal website over to a CMS. I'd like it to have the following features:

Message board/forum
Blog (with truncation)
Wiki
Photo Gallery
Search for whole site

There are a lot of CMS that offer these features. When I first posted on the SMF board, my intent was to find a way to export the information so I could bring it into a new CMS (which still may be what I need to do).

However, in this thread (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=225638.0), I learned that - possibly - I can build my CMS *around* SMF, which would be great!

There are two 'problems.'

1. I currently have a Wordpress blog, and I want to keep all postings/comments.

and, perhaps, most importantly,

2) I am not a programmer. I taught myself how to set up SMF and Wordpress, basically, through trial-and-error, and by relying upon very active support communities.

With those parameters, can anyone recommend my best course of action?

Thanks for any help/advice you can provide!

Chris

Well you can do whatever you want.

If you want to build around SMF then great!

Have you tried any searches, I know there are some posts out there about Word Press and other CMS.

Take a look at http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=161671.0 as well as all of the stickied topics in this board!
