[I AM Legend]

Hi All,
I have SimplePortal 2.0 installed and working fine.
Just one quick question, how do I get it to be the home page? ie: when someone logs the forum url, they see the portal page 1st, the "Portal is active?" setting is enabled, but the page doesnt show up untill the forum is actually logged.

Make sure that you have checked the "Portal is active?" setting in the "SPortal Admin" part of the admin section, also make sure that you have added some blocks and they are active.

[Burak] is correct, when you are doing the settings for this mod you should view the admin pannel in english, because there are no language strings for your language (at least I don't think so, I can't recognise it). If you want then you could try to ask somebody to translate it for you, or you could translate it yourself.

I've answered your question before. Think of this; when you close the forum for guests, can they see your Board Index? No. It's the same. When your site is not open for guests, the portal page will not be shown too.

As all said, if you are using a different language than English, you need to make language file edits for your language files too. You can translate them or use in English too.

Just make the change which should be don in Modifications.english.php in your language's Modifications language file. And copy SPortal.english.php and name as SPortal.{your_language}.php. You can translate the parts that are viewable by your guests.

We hope to make some work about this language issue soon.

I do some modifications, but now i have this error when i trie to view my p.m's, profile, etc...

Acording to Simple Portal guide, i need to replace this in "/index.php"  (i'm using Apollo BB) :

I uploaded simple portal to my packages and my "home" tab is still my forum page. I want a simple basica home page that greets the users/guest. Any help would be great! Thanks

Are you sure? It can't be. In that case, you couldn't have seen your forum. Can you attach your index.php file here?

First of all thanks for using SimplePortal.

You should go to the

Admin CP >> SPortal Admin

and check the Portal Active? setting.

Then you should create blocks from Add Block in that area. Also you can view your blocks from the Block List tab.

Ummm, just change the left and right blocks width from the same panel.

Nice Mod. I am using it on my site. What I would like to do is really make this useful for the members by wanting to add their posts to the portal someway thru php or otherwise.

like we have at the top "Show new replies to your posts."
