Glowing category names..? I am sorry, but to me that ..is not good. It just defeats the whole purpose of this theme.
And glow text only works with Internet Explorer.

I dont take offence ;) ....its just the glow part I dont like..but as I said there is nothing stopping you setting the background color black and the text color whitish/yellow.Then the category names to a more yellow/orange. Its only colors... ;)

As for time, it will take the time it needs. It changes nearly all the template files, so I wont rush it.

Having the Guardian as a guide I am making a light-weight theme with almost no images.

Like the concept and look of this one so far, Bloc! :)

The theme is coming along..here is a second screenshot.  ;)

Still to do are trying out all normal functions with it , Instantmessage and generally error-checking.

Kirby

Bloc that is a great example of the themes engine :o! I especially like how you did the top bar :)

Burpee

Bloc, I really can't wait...

  • The breadcrumb doesn't really seem to match the style of the rest of the board. The rest matches perfectly, but the breadcrumb seems to have a completely different look from the rest.

Still, the rest looks brilliant! :)

Grudge

WOW, Bloc, this really looks outstanding. I mean, it's simply a beautiful example of what can be achieved - and I'm sure many people will love using it.
I'm only a half geek really...

Oldiesmann

Wow... Very nice. Great way to show off SMF's template system too :)

Yes, I am still thinking round that bit with the breadcrumb...

Just a suggestion (don't know how it'll look), but you could try to replace the |'s with :'s, •'s or >'s and make the font x-small instead of xx-small (matching the font of the body).

bloc

Good suggestions. I will try those.

Meriadoc

wow.
that's a beautiful theme! unique, pretty, streamlined. One of the best I've seen. And what I really like about it is that although other themes I've seen (mainly in the contest) were excellent, this one has a look I especially like - clean, sharp and business like - as opposed to a highbandwidth gaming look (those are impressive too though ;))

good excellent work Bloc!
