Is is possible to use subdomains with blogs? So that every created blog has hxxp:blogx.domain.com [nonactive] url? This would be very cool.

X-Zero

Can you put automatically the Spanish traduction from Soloxd and I've found a very bad bug ... The blog posts count and in your blog you are moderator and if you enter like a normal section to your blog you can move the topic, etc ..

That's not a bug... blog owners are moderators for their own blogs.

Currently I have managed to allow users to make their blogs pseudo independent... meaning they appear completely outside the rest of the site (with their own unique templates).  I will look into sub-domain support as well.

Will I have to uninstall the old mod when the new one comes out?  Or will there be an update script?
Also for some reason, only I can view my blog.  I checked the permissions, but I didn't make the theme edits because I can't open the install file even when i try to open it in word.

v1.12 will have way too many changes for me to make an update script.

You shouldn't use word or other similar programs to edit programming scripts.  You might try notepad2 (http://www.flos-freeware.ch/notepad2.html)

Hoo-boy... (not about using notepad; about the update)... when did you say this will be coming out?  Soon, I hope...  :D

When the new version is released will we be able to transfer our existing blogs over, or should I go ahead and close our blog section?

You don't have to worry about compatibility.  If you are using an earlier version of this mod, your blogs and all the info you've got in them (including their settings) will all transfer over seamlessly.

The next version (2.0 beta) will be available soon.  I am releasing it as a beta because I want to test it very thoroughly before I call it a final.

C.Jack

Thanks! That's great to know.  8)

Does it mean 1.4 is not comming, and next release is 2.0 beta? :)

Blog: Community's currently available version is 1.11.  The next version is going to be 2.0 (as a beta).  It will be compatible with SMF 1.1.x for now.  Once it gets near final, I'll create an alpha version compatible with SMF 2.0.

@ Everyone attempting to install this mod:
v1.12 is going to be released within a week. I suggest waiting until v1.12 is released before installing this mod.

Sorry I meant 1.12 .. :)

Hiya, this mod software is really great. Have used it before, though on my board i'm getting the following error:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'ORDER BY ID_FIRST_MSG DESC
LIMIT 7' at line 4
File: /home/liveflg/public_html/fuel/Sources/Blog.php
Line: 485

It's for a website which has to be released very soon [few days], so help asap would be really appreciated :) thanks all.

I suggest you hold off until version 2.0 of this software is released.  See it on my live site: http://degreesofzero.com.  If you think v1.11 was great..... just wait :)

Yes.  The author of the Pretty URLs mod is helping me make their mod compatible with Blog Community.

Charles Hill

No it isn't difficult.  If you really want me to have a look at the code of v1.11 to get you a solution I can do that.

samames

well - if the problem will be irrelevant in 2.0 then dont worry lol. but because it was a mysql syntax error, i assumed it wouldn't be?
What do you reckon?

Hi,
This mod looks great.
Is it compatible with the SimpleBlog Mod?
Or can i somehow convert the data to your mod?
There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path.
