I have resorted back to blogcommunity for now because it works perfectly for me as needed. I just need one minor alteration to it and it is as the image attached describes.

Can anyone tell me how to get those items relocated where I have it mentioned in the pic?

I don't know the answer specifically, but i'm sure it's as easy as moving a few lines of code to an earlier point in the file(s) responsible for display of the blog content. Charles should have the answer....

Thank you link, that is kinda what I was thinking and what I was waiting for :) Seems to be the super easy [appearing at least] things that go right over my head on where to locate them.

Hello @ all

First, thank you for this great SMF-Mod.

But i have a little Problem:
I am Using SMF 1.1.5 with SimplePortal and DilberMC-Theme. My problem is that the blog-page always come "under" the portal-page. It allways shows the simpleportal-blocks first and then is coming the blog-side.
My wish is, that the blog has a "own" page, without the blocks from simpleportal, e.g my forum has.

Please, can you help me ?

thank you and sorry: english is not my native language.

Happy eastern

I am pretty sure you can select to hide all panels in blog admin to remove those from your blog.

If i try the import any board get this error.
There appears to have been a problem with the database. Please try again.
If the problem persists, please contact the site's administrator.
How can i fixed?

bump....anyone?

Xavi-Nena

anyone at all for my above requests?

and also I know blogcommunity is no longer supported but Im hoping that perhaps I can get some assistance on this one:

Unknown column 'windowID' in 'field list'
File: /home/anypupco/public_html/a-corsotalk/Sources/BlogSettings.php
Line: 489

Just to clear up my situation a bit, I have 2 sites I am working with the blog mods on, one of them...I have blogcommunity working smoothly on, however one of them I cannot get blogcommunity nor can i get zcommunity to function properly on.

I get this error with zcommunity:
Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/anypupco/public_html/a-corsotalk/zCommunity/Sources/Subs-db-mysql.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/anypupco/public_html/a-corsotalk/Packages/temp/install_db_edits.php on line 84

It is the same site/database that I got the previous error I listed in my previous post about BlogCommunity...

I have uninstalled all blog scripts when trying BlogCommunity initially, and remove that when I tried to install zCommunity.

I dont mean to be a bother but I would be very grateful for any further support you have for this mod.

I have tried to manually run the install_db_edits.php as suggested in previous posts on here in this thread and I keep getting the same error Could not find the necessary zCommunity sources files. Database edits failed!

Well I've been tinkering around with it some more while waiting for the next update and this is what I ended up with

1.1.8 with 0.8.1a and simpleportal installed.  I took it out of "single blog" mode and put it in "community mode" and now it doesn't show up as the main page which is great.  It still does remove a bunch of the links when you go into the blog link though but beyond that it seems to function.

I also can't seem to figure out how to edit it for the "classic" theme but I'm probably going to update to 2.0RC1 and break everything again anyway.

So hopefully those who are also waiting for the next release can use this info to get by with till then

Charles Hill

@ NenaGb ... sounds like you're just missing some files.  If you have all the files, then something is wrong in the install_db_edits.php file.

I've been mega busy with life, so I haven't gotten as much done as I would like.  Good news is that I've got zCommunity functioning by itself.  I just need to build a few things still (administrative stuff and some user-end stuff).  I've decided that the easiest way to provide SMF-specific integration for zCommunity will be to provide that as a plug-in.  It'll still install and integrate the same way, though.

I'm having this same problem.  The importer creates the entry on the blog index, but there are no blog entries, and the board remains in SMF.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

So in other words, just use 0.7.9 until the next functional release. :\

Does the 0.7.9 import function work?  And where would I download it?  0.8.1 is the only version listed on the download page.

I never tried to use it. But everything else is functional. Of course you have to tweak it a wee bit to look right with your custom theme. But yes works fine.

I can either send it to you on msn or by email. Which do you prefer?

@charles hill: you should add all the prev versions back to the mod page so that people can use the parser when install/uninstalling/upgrading/downgrading between versions as most other mods do.

Email would  be great. Thanks!

I'll give it a shot.  I have about a dozen blogs that were in BlogCommunity on my 1.1.8 forum, and I did an upgrade on my forum to 2.0 RC1 this weekend.  The blogs is the last piece of the upgrade that I need to finish.

Right now, the blogs are showing up as forums, but when I run the importer, it creates the blog, but there are no articles in the blog.  It fails with the same message Özgür´  listed above.  I poked around in the database, and I suppose I could manually create the blogs since I don't have that many, but I really don't want to do that if it can be avoided...

And your email is?

Also I'm running smf1.1.8 so i can't vouch for it working fine in 2.0rc1.
