Package Error.

Well I can't add any packages into SMF 2.0.

It shows me an error an any execution file "     Modification parse error ".

How can I fix this? And I can't figure out how to make my files chmod 777. They just stick to 770 and one ( agreement.txt) is 660. I have a directory "temp" in my Packages directory.

Anybody have any help? I tried to change the chmod through a FTP client but it didn't take effect on the SMF page...

So any help would be appreciated. This happens on every mod I have tried...

How are you trying to download and install these mods, can you give specific mods you are trying.  Also try to download and access the particular mod/s from the locally stored file than from directly inside the Package Manager if you've previously tried that method.
